Privacy Policy

The short version

elefcode is a collection of developer tools that run entirely in your browser. Whatever you paste, type, upload, or generate never leaves your device — it is not sent to, stored on, or seen by any server. We have no backend, no database, and no user accounts.

Data we process

• Tool input/output — processed locally in your browser (and Web Workers). Never transmitted or retained.
• Shareable links — some tools can encode your input into a URL (the ?d= parameter) so you can share it. This only happens when you click “Share”, and the data lives in the link itself, not on our servers.
• Local storage — we store your cookie-consent choice (and nothing else) in your browser's local storage.

Advertising & cookies

elefcode may display ads served by Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service. To support these ads, the following apply:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to elefcode and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.

Separately, elefcode stores a small amount of data in your browser's local storage — such as your tool drafts, history, and preferences — purely to make the tools work. That data never leaves your device.

Third-party services

• Google AdSense — displays advertisements and may set cookies as described above. See How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• jsDelivr CDN — serves the code editor (Monaco) and syntax-highlighting assets.
• allorigins.win — only used by the Meta Tag Generator's optional “Import from URL” feature, and only when you trigger it. The URL you enter is sent to that proxy to fetch the page's tags.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because elefcode does not collect or store personal data on any server, there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf. For advertising data, your rights are exercised through Google's controls linked in the “Advertising & cookies” section above. EEA, UK, and California visitors can opt out of personalized advertising there with no loss of functionality — the tools work the same whether or not ads are personalized.

Children

elefcode is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
